Denton Lotz, PhD

Denton Lotz recently retired after serving 19 years as the general secretary of the Baptist World Alliance. Dr. Lotz has made religious freedom a major focus of his ministry as church leader and church statesman, and serves as the current president of the International Religious Liberty Association. Dr. Lotz has widely written on church matters and religious freedom. He has received significant praise as editor of Listening to the Church in China and Baptists Against Racism. He has served on numerous boards including the Board of Overseers at Samford University, International Religious Liberty Association, and Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He also chaired the Christian World Communions.
