Liberty Magazine is dedicated to the imperative of religious freedom, and works to communicate the message that there is no freedom more basic to the human state than the right to believe and practice a religious faith without any external compulsion. For over 100 years, Liberty Magazine has advanced this foundational premise and ensured that the almost 200,000 copies of each issue are sent to those who can best protect religious freedom. While religious freedom is an inalienable right by definition, it can only remain self-evident as Liberty and others keep it before our attention.

Chartered in 1893, the International Religious Liberty Association (IRLA) has advocated for religious freedom ever since. The mission of the IRLA is to defend, protect, and promote religious freedom for all people everywhere. The IRLA was organized by leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, but its purpose is universal and non-sectarian.

The North American Religious Liberty Association (NARLA) is a membership-based organization that serves as the North American affiliate of the IRLA. NARLA’s primary goal is to advance the God-given right to religious liberty both here at home and around the world.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church has a global membership of more than 15 million, operates an educational system with 1.3 million students enrolled, and manages a healthcare system with over 680 hospitals and clinics worldwide. Central to Seventh-day Adventist belief is the Christian principle of liberty of conscience.
